A racing club that fits in a browser tab

Racco is a small arcade racing club on Robinhood Chain. The driver is a raccoon with a garage full of spare parts and a habit of taking corners too late. You sit behind the same wheel: pick a track, wait for the lights, and push for one clean lap. There is nothing to install and nothing to buy. Races run in your browser, your best laps stay in your browser, and the only thing that ever reaches the chain is a lap time you decide to sign.

The club screen above is the whole game. The panel on the left starts a time trial, the middle shows the car you built in the garage, and the panel on the right is the lap book with the ten fastest recorded laps on the selected track. The dock at the bottom opens your driver profile, the race, the garage, the full top ten and the club rules. Every one of those works without a wallet.

A race takes about a minute, which makes Racco easy to pick up between other things: one run on the track of the day, one try at your ghost, one tweak in the garage. It plays with a keyboard on a laptop and with touch pedals on a phone, and the club screen fits both.

Four tracks, three laps, one clock

Each race is three laps against the clock. The timer starts when the countdown ends and every lap is timed on its own, so one bad corner only costs you that lap. Leave the road and the car slows on the grass; go wide enough and a barrier pushes you back. Each track has gold, silver and bronze targets that we set for practice; they are goals, not records anyone has driven.

  • Harbor LoopWide dock road, two long straights and a hairpin at the fish market.Gold 0:15.40 · Silver 0:17.30 · Bronze 0:20.20
  • Pine SwitchbackNarrow forest road that folds back on itself. Brake early, exit fast.Gold 0:18.10 · Silver 0:20.20 · Bronze 0:23.70
  • Neon UnderpassCity night circuit under the ring road. Tight chicane before the line.Gold 0:19.00 · Silver 0:21.20 · Bronze 0:24.90
  • Dust TriangleFast desert triangle with one long sweeper. Flat out, if you can hold the line.Gold 0:15.80 · Silver 0:17.70 · Bronze 0:20.80

The garage changes the look, never the lap

In the garage you choose a paint colour, one of four body kits (stock hatch, street wide, rally raised or night wedge), wheels, a roof accessory, a stripe and a race number from 0 to 99. The car on the club screen and the car on the track are both drawn from those settings, so what you build is what you drive.

Handling is identical for every combination. A wide body does not grip better and a spoiler does not add speed. That keeps the lap book fair: when two wallets record a time on the same track, the difference is the driving. Your settings are saved in this browser. When you record a lap, a fingerprint of the car (a keccak-256 hash of its settings) goes with it, so anyone can see which build set the time.

Your ghost is your toughest rival

The fastest lap you drive on a track becomes your ghost: a see-through car that replays that exact line next to you on every lap of your next race. Beat it and the ghost is replaced by the new lap. Ghosts are stored in this browser only and are never uploaded.

Your driver profile adds up what you have done here: races finished, laps, distance on a toy scale, your favourite track, the best lap and medal on each track, and six badges such as Full card (a lap on every track) and Ghost buster (beat your own ghost). You can give your driver a name. None of it leaves your device unless you record a lap.

A lap book anyone can read on Robinhood Chain

The lap book is a small contract, RaccoLapBook. A wallet sends its own lap: track number, time in milliseconds, the car fingerprint and a fingerprint of the lap's inputs. The contract keeps one best lap per wallet per track, accepts only laps between 5 seconds and 10 minutes, and only replaces a time with a faster one. It has no owner, no admin key, no fee and no upgrade path, and it cannot hold funds.

The contract cannot watch your race, so every time on the leaderboard is self-reported and labelled that way. A recorded lap proves that a wallet claimed that time at that block, not that it was driven. The leaderboard on this site reads the contract directly. Recording costs a little ETH for gas on Robinhood Chain; racing costs nothing.

How to find a faster lap

Most time is lost before a corner, not in it. Lift or brake while the car is still straight, turn in once the speed is down, and get back on the gas as the road opens. The car keeps its grip at low speed and loses a little bite near the top end, so a slow entry and a fast exit beats a brave entry almost every time.

Stay off the grass: the car sheds speed hard the moment a wheel leaves the road, and a wide moment past the run-off ends at the barrier. Watch the minimap for the next bend, use your ghost as a pace car, and press Watch a demo lap to see how the club autopilot takes each track. Demo laps are for learning only and cannot be recorded.

What reaches the chain, and what never does

Racing, the garage, your ghosts and your profile never leave this browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server and there is no account to create. When you press Record my lap, your wallet shows one transaction with four values: the track number, the lap time in milliseconds, the car fingerprint and the ghost fingerprint. Your address is public once it sends that transaction, like any transaction on Robinhood Chain.

The site never asks for a seed phrase or a private key and never moves funds. Connecting a wallet only shares your address. Practice entries are signed messages that cost nothing and stay in your browser until the lap book contract is live.

What is live today and what is planned

Racco grows in the open. The parts marked live work on this site right now. Practice means the screen works and the lap is signed by your wallet but stays in your browser until the contract is deployed. Planned means it is an idea on the roadmap with no date and no promise.

$RACCO on Robinhood Chain

$RACCO is the club's memecoin on Robinhood Chain. Holding it is not needed to race, use the garage or record a lap, and it gives no right to any item, feature or prize. Possible uses later, such as cosmetics or customisation credits, are plans only. The official contract address is published here and nowhere else first.
